9/1/2023 0 Comments Gemcraft frostborn wrath free![]() ![]() The only thing I had to back-track for was mana leech and 1 other cache on a normal mode tile. Sometimes even grabbing the cache and ending. Really casual, no focus on grinding xp, just beating the maps. ![]() I played the stages and did the endurances that had caches. This crippled me eventually so I went back for the skills on endurance and eventually after beating the game grabbed the rest of the wizard caches.Īfter 100%, I played the game again on my Frostborn "normal" difficulty resuming my previous save. I beat most of the tiles without issue and skipped endurance etc. Mostly I played blind but had some knowledge from GC:S trying to just bruteforcing the entire game. after reading about difficulty and grinding issues. I decided to play chilling after playing awhile on normal (copied save) and beat the game and all ach. New to the series? Probably better off playing chilling, definatley if playing blind. Otherwise it is no issue at all if you know what you are doing considering beating the tiles and you don't need to redo maps several times. It can be a bit close at times in the beginning and the shadow core grind will be worse and the main factor as an experienced player deciding. Can't wait for the next difficulty level! I sure as hell did.īut yeah, I wouldn't need to grind nearly as much, maybe not at all, if starting over from scratch. I think that for the average person, or a new player like OP, they will wind up grinding in some capacity. In addition to what you said and probably some more things I can't think of off the top of my head. Know the strengths and weaknesses of gems and the various buildable objects (towers, walls, etc) and can use them well. Know the perfect route to go to pick up useful skills. (I assure you as a newb I didn't even realize the importance of starting health on tiles until like mid-way though.) ![]() Already know what all of the markers and indicators in the game mean. Using talisman fragments found in stashes (because they will be the highest rarity fragments you can get without grinding) to activate rune bonuses makes it even easier. That is, don't waste points on fusion and spells (except investing in beam can be very useful for shielded stashes), just focus on mana stream, resonance, true colors, critical hit and to a lesser extent, amplifiers and don't have more initial mana than you need to beat the first waves of a field since actually spending skill points effectively helps far more with the later waves. No grinding is required at all if you just don't use a stupid skills distribution.
